For school-hosted or board-sanctioned events, the Texas Scholastic Cricket Board (TSCB) may require payment for field usage, certified umpires, equipment, or league services depending on the structure of the event. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure matchdays, tournaments, or multi-school fixtures. All remaining fees must be submitted prior to the scheduled event date. Failure to complete payment may result in postponement, loss of scheduling priority, or cancellation of the match. Schools or team representatives are responsible for ensuring that all payments are processed through approved school channels or TSCB-approved methods only.
Because TSCB operates across multiple schools, districts, and regions and works exclusively with minors, cancellations impact statewide logistics and coordination. Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made within seven days of a scheduled match may incur partial charges due to confirmed umpire assignments, field reservations, and equipment preparation. TSCB reserves the right to cancel or reschedule matches due to weather conditions, school or district directives, safety concerns, or conflicts involving minors. Severe weather events or emergencies fall under Force Majeure and may result in rescheduling rather than refunds.
To accommodate school calendars, student availability, and regional coordination, schools must request matchdays a minimum of one to two weeks in advance. Final team rosters, including student names and grade levels, must be submitted at least three days prior to the match for eligibility verification. Any changes related to timing, location, transportation, or player availability must be communicated immediately. A staff sponsor or approved adult supervisor must be present at every match with no exceptions.
To protect minors and maintain professionalism, TSCB enforces strict communication standards. Schools must use official school or team emails for all communication with TSCB administrators and avoid private or informal direct messages between students and organizers. Schools are expected to respond to scheduling updates or confirmations within 24 to 48 hours, inform parents and guardians of match schedules, locations, and transportation arrangements, and report injuries, misconduct, safety concerns, or policy violations immediately. TSCB will communicate professionally, respectfully, and transparently with staff sponsors and team representatives and will provide timely notice regarding schedule changes, weather alerts, or logistical updates.
Because all participants are minors, TSCB follows strict media, privacy, and consent standards. TSCB may capture photos or videos of matches for league documentation or promotion; however, no individual student will be highlighted without both student and parent or guardian approval. TSCB will not publicly tag, name, or personally identify any student without proper consent. Content submitted by students will not be reposted unless it originates from an official school or team-based account. Any privacy concerns raised by schools, students, or parents will be addressed promptly and respectfully.
Because TSCB operates exclusively within scholastic environments involving minors, clear boundaries and responsibilities are enforced. Cricket is a physical sport and involves inherent risks. TSCB is not liable for injuries, accidents, or medical issues occurring during gameplay, warm-ups, travel, or school-approved activities. All participants compete at their own risk, and schools are responsible for managing medical information, emergency contacts, and injury protocols. TSCB is not responsible for acts of God or unforeseen circumstances, unexpected field or facility conditions, equipment failure not caused by TSCB negligence, injuries resulting from normal cricket play including ball impact, running collisions, slips, or falls, or actions of players or spectators outside TSCB’s control. TSCB staff, volunteers, and officials must adhere to strict boundaries including no unsupervised interactions with minors, no transportation of students, no direct communication with minors outside official channels, and no collection of personal student information without parent or guardian approval.
To maintain fairness, safety, and professionalism across regions, all students are expected to demonstrate respect toward opponents, umpires, volunteers, and school representatives, avoid profanity, harassment, or unsafe behavior, report injuries or unsafe conditions immediately, and play honestly while upholding TSCB standards of sportsmanship and integrity.
By participating in Texas Scholastic Cricket Board programs, schools and sponsors agree to comply with all payment, scheduling, and cancellation policies, ensure student safety, medical clearance, and appropriate transportation, respect media and privacy guidelines, maintain professional communication, and cooperate fully with TSCB rules, scheduling requirements, and safety standards.
